1789 SET 4 GEORGIAN ENGLISH STERLING SILVER CANDLESTICKS 12 INCH - $1,900 - (Waterford, MI)

This is a set of 4 sterling silver Georgian English candlesticks. The candlesticks date from 1789. Very nice classic design. The bobeches or wax drips are removable and have the Lion of Passant on them. Each candlestick is marked the same with the O date 1789, King George head duty mark and Lion of Passant for sterling. I believe they were made by Thomas Tookey. The are 12 inches tall and they are weighted at the base for stability. The raised decoration has some wear. Has a Lion, Crown and sword crest on each candlestick on the base. They weigh 5308.4 grams. They are in very good condition with no dents or problems.
