For your consideration for auction is this signed copy of this rare hard to find book called, "The Alien by Edwin Rosskam." The book is signed. The book is in really good condition. Although there is a white spot on the front of it, it doesn't effect anything, I'm not sure what it is or where it came from. This book came from a very clean estate sale here locally. This book will be shipped out immediately once payment has cleared.This book would make a great addition to anyone's collection. There's only one other book like this one that I can find that is also signed as well. The dust jacket is in execellent condition for it's age. This looks to be a 1st edition book. Louise Rosskam (born Louise Rosenbaum) (March 27, 1910-April 1, 2003) was a photographer for the Farm Security Administration (FSA) and the Standard Oil Company during the mid-20th century. Together with her husband, Edwin Rosskam (1903–1985), the pair documented American life during the Great Depression. The Rosskams were part of a group of talented photographers hired by Roy Stryker, the head of the FSA between 1935 and 1944, during what is often called the "Golden Age of Documentary Photography.
