George Kenning, London, RARE, FIRST EDITION, FINE BINDING, 1878. 665 pages with 12 page Masonic book catalog at back showing all kinds of Masonic related items from books, uniforms to furniture. 8 1/2 inches tall. Classic, 138 year old Masonic cyclopedia which has entries listed from A to Z with many detailed descriptions and definitions, background history, etc. for each. Especially nice, embossed, ornate Victorian era binding. Book has massive amount of information on 19th century Masonry. Good/Good minus for rarity and age, with only moderate wear to binding edges, corners, head/heel of spine and board surfaces as shown in photos. Some underlining in text with red pencil, weakness to hinge, back board loosening with cracking along joint, some fading to spine.
