Antique Indo Persian Mailshirt from the Armoury of Bijapur 17.th. ct., no Sword - $7,000 - (Miami, FL)
I´m selling these phantastic preservated Indian Mailshirt. It was captured by Anup Singh the great Rajputgeneral, who served Aurangzeb ( the Mughal Emperor) after the Siege of Adoni 1686.These mailshirt show very good the ottoman Influence in the Manufacture of these kinds of Armours. I think the pictures speak for it self...., it is really in an great condtion without rust and holes in the links. I´m sure you will not find so easy an better one. These mailshirts was made from different strong links. The Front and the Shoulders was made from the the strongest Links. you could see it at the pictures very clearly. Every link is riveted!!! The red Cottoncollar was an later addition..., but it is not rescent! The best armours was used by the Members of the Bikanir Camelcorps untill the beginning of 1900, and i think it is one of these. If you need some more informations or maybe some more pictures so please let me know it.
