Clams sometimes fade slightly in color due to shipping stress, the color returns to vibrancy within a few days. Be fore-warned these clams are wild-collected, pulled off reefs in Tahiti after years of growth, and we don't recommend them for captive conditions. These clams pulled off the reef are not as hardy as our Farm-raised clams- specifically raised in captivity for the reef aquarium hobby. We don't recommend the purchase of wild clams ever, they are much more difficult to keep and it is not Eco-friendly to purchase them.
