Vintage Danish Leif Ulrich Daurup Ring Amber Fish Starfish Sterling Silver Gift - $125 - (Grants Pass, OR)

Exquisitely crafted Denmark sterling silver fish and starfish ring was made in the 1950’s to 1980’s. With a central under seas motif of fish, starfish and bubble motif surrounding a large amber cabochon. An array of silver “bubbles” grace the perimeter. The engraving on each fish is superb and precise, detailing each fish’s scales, eye, and fins. Ring size is 5.25. ? It is in excellent condition with contrasting patina that accentuates the details. Signed “Daurup” “DENMARK STERLING” “HANDMADE” on the reverse. The maker was Leif Ulrich Daurup, a silversmith who worked in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1954 – 1984. Leif Daurup’s work continued the Mid Century Danish style, celebrating nature with sculptured stylized motifs. I have been in the antiques business for 25+ years and on eBay for 12 years, with a 100% feedback rating. I am transitioning to etsy as this community is much more welcoming.
