Title: THE WIZScript Dated: 1978 -Description- This is an original 1978 Broadway Play Script titled, "THE WIZ" which was used in the production of the actual play. THIS SCRIPT IS NOT FOR THE MOVIE, IT IS FOR THE BROADWAY PLAY. This is not like all of the other playbills and play books you see, this is the actual script used during the production of the play. The play ran from 1975-1979 and this script is dated June, 1978. This rare script is in fair condition with some obvious cosmetic issues. There are some stains along the bottom of the script. The back cover is torn around each of the brass brads, furthermore the cover still connected to the script. Please view all of the pictures above carefully. This script also comes with a photo from the play, which is stamped on the back by photographer, Martha Swope. I've never seen a script from this Play, it is extremely rare. "THE WIZ" musical opened on January 5, 1975 at the Majestic Theatre. The Broadway production moved to The Broadway Theatre on May 25, 1977 and closed on January 28, 1979 after four years and 1,672 performances.
