Marantz 2220B Receiver - recapped, new relay, relamped, and more.. All electrolytic capacitors on power supply, phono, preamp, and power amp boards were replaced withNichicon audio grade capacitors. Speaker protection relay replaced with new Omron unit. Power supply filter capacitors were replaced and upgraded to PanasonicTUP series 10,000 mF...originals were 6,8000 mF. The small signal transistors on the phono, preamp, and power amp boards that are known to fail or becomenoisy over time were replaced with low noise Fairchild units. Power supply voltage, bias (idle current), and DC offset were adjusted to factory spec and hold steady with no bounce or drift. All switches and controls cleaned with DeoxIt D5 (followed by Faderlube where appropriate) and operate smoothly and noise free. Meter and tuning scale fuse lamps upgraded to blue LED fuse style lamps. Stereo indicator lamps replaced with new OEM style lamp.Tuning pointer lamp replaced with new OEM style lamp.
