VINTAGE ~1924 COBALT BLUE GERMAN MEISSEN PORCELAIN CROSSED SWORDS GILT 12" BOWL - $500 - (Calvert City, KY)

This listing is for a beautiful large Meissen porcelain 12" Cobalt Blue/White/Gold Gilt Centerpiece Bowl with raised design and gilt edged decorations. The bowl has fine details with an embossed floral and molded swirl design and beautiful scalloped outer edge. Fine gold enamel is painted to enhance the raised pattern and the finish is just as brilliant as ever for its age. This breath taking bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs as seen by the photos. The back is marked with the Meissen trademark "cross swords" stamp with dot as seen by the photo. This mark was used during the period of 1924 through 1934. The bowl measures 2 1/4" high and 12" in diameter. It weights approximately 2 1/2 lbs. When I purchased it I was told that it had been originally purchased in Germany and brought to the USA years ago.
