Gorgeous folk violin early 1900s - $2,000 - (Trumbull, CT)

This is a beautiful violin with some very unusual features. The "tiger-stripe" back is balanced and made with select fine wood. The distinct rounded scroll and exaggerated f holes are both intriguing and attractive. It is likely to have a folk origin and possibly made in America. This instrument is in perfect playable condition and has a pleasing tone. The bridge on it is made by a famous and influential luthier, the late Rene Morel.
