1967 Epiphone Texan FT-79N - $2,300 - (Portland, OR)

1967 Epiphone FT-79N in all original condition. Natural finish, double bound body with spruce top, mahogany back and sides. Mahagony neck, brazilian rosewood fretboard, Brazilian rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle (saddle is rosewood as well), 3-on-a-plate tuners, 1-9/16th" nut, 25-1/2" scale. This guitar was purchased from Jake at Antebellum Instruments several years ago. Jake has lots of great photos here along with an audio sample: There is plenty of finish weather checking, but normal for these guitars. In addition to that, there are marks and cracks in the finish right at the waist on the lower bout. These marks are in the finish only and in no way affect the guitar's sound or playability. They are not visible when the guitar is being held. I tried to show these marks as much as possible in the photos. Jake has notes on his site about the work he did to the guitar, which included regluing the bridge and repairing a minor hairline crack to the top near the pickguard on the side near the soundhole. Beautiful guitar in excellent condition.
