This listing is for a unique item - a handmade rice bag heating pad or cold pack. They can be heated for 45 seconds to 1 minute (depending on microwave strength) for a heating pad or frozen for 2-4 hours for a gentle cold compress. These can be reused many dozens of times over and are a great gift. They are perfect for aches and pains, strains and sprains, discomfort associated with pregnancy or menstrual cramps, as a boo boo pack for kids, or to warm a cold bed on winter evenings. When heated, they provide a moist heat and have a lovely, toasty scent; when frozen, they are a gentle but long-lasting cold pack. The cover is removable and washable; the inner bag has been pulled out in some of the photos to show the inner fabric. They measure approximately 4"x8.5"-9" and contain .5-.75 pounds of rice. Please note there may be some variation between bags, as they are handmade. They come from a smoke and pet free home and will arrive with an instruction tag.
