Beautiful & Rare/HTF vtg 1969 Enid Collins Box Purse. These purses were advertised for the holidays back in 1969 in high end fashion magazines as "Love is...the joy of making your gifted ones happy! Enid Collins' fabulous Holiday Collection of Collinsiana includes hand-made papier-mâché box bags mini and midi sizes to gladden your heart from $25-$40 at all fine stores." One of the fine stores listed was Harzfeld's of Kansas City Missouri which is found on the fabric label inside this purse. This purse is one of the two Purses pictured in the ad. This one is in very good condition with minimal wear. The mirror inside is in perfect condition which can be hard to find, & the hardware is in beautiful condition. Inside the purse is painted a eye-popping color of turquoise with the statement: designed by Enid Collins and made especially for you of papier-mâché. And, of course, Enid Collins, initials EC are shown on the outside front of the purse, along with her famously used gems to decorate her box purses. I hope you love this as much as I have!
