Vintage Marching & Parade Snare Drum Leg Rest This is a very nice and heavy duty triple chrome plated vintage leg rest. This universal leg rest can be used for all kinds of marching and parade drums. This leg rest has a fully adjustable mounting bracket that attaches to the drum tension rods. The 2 tension rod attachment clips adjust on a sliding rail. These 2 attachment clips can be flipped 180 degrees which allows it to clamp onto any 2 tension rods that are spaced anywhere from 4" to 8" apart from each other. The curved leg rest is fixed to the mounting bracket with a heavy duty swinging hinge with a spring loaded pin. In the center it has a locking ratchet type pivot point which you can adjust the spring tension on. This locking ratchet allows you to spin the drum a full 360 degrees and the spring tension locks the drum in at any angle. The tension spring for the ratchet also doubles as a shock absorber plus it also has a thick felt shock absorber. This leg rest will easily support the heaviest of marching drums very comfortably. If the spring and the felt shock absorbers don't provide you enough comfort you can always add a peel and stick on foam pad to the curved leg rest. There are just a few very minor nicks and some very light scratches here and there on the chrome finish. I do not see any rust or pitting and the chrome is very bright and shiny. Other than the barely noticeable cosmetic flaws I just mentioned it is in excellent condition and ready to be mounted and put to use on any marching drum. I will also include a heavy duty chrome clip (see picture #8) that mounts on an upper tension rod which is used to attach a sling.
