Vintage 1966 Motorific Action Highway US 88 by Ideal w/ GMC stake truck body - $89 - (Rochester, MN)

This is an US 88, Action Highway set by Ideal (1966) for battery operated Motorific cars. It comes with 14 straight tracks, 13 curves, 3, 1/2 tracks, 2, 1/4 tracks, 6 out of an original 8 trestles, 2 switches, collapsing bridge (works but some of the railing was glued back on), one GMC stake truck body and chassis. It doesn't have a motor and the wheels have hardened, it is missing some stakes, part of a mud flap, and one of the two gas tanks. The set doesn't come with instructions but based on the box cover parts list it is almost complete. The box is square but does show some shelf wear and has some holes and some fading.
