These Limited Edition Barbies were given to attendees of the 1997 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in San Diego, California. Four hundred and fifty (450) Barbies were dressed in white dresses with black polka dots and the remaining 450 dolls were dressed in black dresses with white polka dots. This Beach Blanket Barbie comes with both outfits. Barbie is wearing the black dress with a matching wrap accented with a white flower, black pumps, a white straw hat with a black band, bracelet, and wrist tag. The additional outfit includes a white dress, matching wrap and straw hat with a black band. The white wrap has a black flower. Accessories include a white and black purses, two pairs of sunglasses - black and white, two bracelets, black shoes and two hats . CONDITION: Doll Condition: New. Never Removed from Box. The hat in the box has come off Barbie's head and the plastic bag holding the white purse and eyeglasses is loose in the box. Box condition: Excellent This doll has been in clean, dry commercial storage since the owner attended the Convention - no smoke, no animal fur or dander. The extra outfit was stored in a plastic bag.
