Vintage 1967 M*o*D BLACK FRANCIE in Leather Limelight FAB! - $795 - (Ithaca, NY)
Here's a fantastic Black Francie! She has gorgeous uncut hair- and it's soft, not brittle. There are no missing plugs. It's so hard to find these dolls with hair that is not thin and/or fried. Her pink lips are full and perfect- no rubs. Please note: in the second photo it looks like she has a rub at the top. It's the lighting. If you look at the other photos you will see her lips are perfect. Her lashes are mostly there, a few are missing on one eye. She has two tiny holes at one ear that have a bit of light green. Please see magnified photo. I've had her for years and this has never changed, for what it's worth. Because of the placement of the holes, I wonder if it's from the factory hair string that held her hair at one time. Though there are no holes at the other ear. There are no neck splits. Her skin tone is even with no gray or green cast.Her body is overall very good- as you see she has a horizontal break at one knee with a small vertical split next to it. That knee doesn't bend but the other one clicks and bends into three positions. She comes dressed in a near mint paisley top & skirt and boots from Leather Limelight. The photos were taken in both direct and indirect daylight. Sorry about the lint/dust, I never see it until after photos. My dolls are stored away in boxes, away from light. Thanks for looking!
