As normal with old boxes, there is a slight 'musty' or 'old' odor when you take the lid off. If it bothers you, you can leave the lid off outside and air it out. It measures approx. 14" high, 15" across the top of the box. It is in perfect primitive condition with chips, age markings, and it has been painted.
