Vintage Basketball Score Board Fair Play Working Condition Shipping Available - $7,250 - (Campbelltown, PA)

A vintage basketball score board manufactured by the Fair-Play Co. Des Moines, Iowa in the 1930's or 1940's.. Fair-Play was the first company to put a clock on a score board. The company was formed by the owner after his son's high school team lost a playoff game because the referees lost track of the time. Yup, even back then they blamed it on the refs. This is a unique score board because the minutes are actually not on the clock but on the light panel below the clock. So the clock times a minute and then the minute on the panel below counts down. When it gets to the last minute of play in a quarter the lights behind the clock change from white to red (see photos). This score board is fully functional using the original control box. We have gone over all the wiring to make it run safely. The board runs on regular household current. It measures 58" wide x 40 1/2" tall and 9" deep and can be easily hung on any wall. This score board came from a high school near Worcester, MA.We can safely ship this board both Nationally and internationally, please ask for a quotation.A great decor item for any bar, restaurant or game room.
