Apple Mac Book Pro. A1278. Mid 2009. I bought this directly from Apple in November 2009. This was a built-to-order with the 500GB HD and 4 GB memory upgrade. At that time the standard laptop had a 160 GB HD and only 2GB memory. Later 500GB and 4GB became standard till the newer ones with smaller SSD HD's came out. Price was $1499 plus tax. Mac Book Pro, Mid 2009. 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Memory 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Graphics NVDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB. OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Apple will not allow any further OS updates. This comes with the original white retail box and outer brown shipping box. Serial numbers on the unit match both boxes. Also has the original software and application discs which are not needed anymore. I am also going to include a brand new original Apple power cord. Apple sells this for around $79.00. I used this to store my iTunes music library. When I converted my music to lossless I needed more space so I bought the 2012 version (last one produced) of this. Instead of having my music split I upgraded the newer 2012 with a 2TB HD. So this laptop is not used anymore. Unit is still in excellent condition. One owner and with the history of ownership know. Unlike other used laptops where its history and care is unknown. It has never left my house. The battery cycle count is only 109 which is very low. Apple rates their battery for a minimum of 1000 cycles. The newer Mac Book Pro's look nice, are faster but expensive and there is no way to upgrade because the memory and flash storage are soldered to the logic board. SSD capacity is small unless you spend even more and there is no CD or SD drive. For less than $100 this can easily be upgraded with a 2TB drive and also not too much more for 8GB or more of memory. Everything will be reset to the factory settings.
