Item you are bidding on is an uncommon women's brooch/pin with scrimshaw picture of the BonHomme Richard battleship from 1779, which was under John Paul Jones authority. Ship was named BonHomme (meaning good man, in French) Richard (in honor of Benjamin Franklin, author of Poor Richards Almanac). Brooch measures approx. 2 inches in size, from top to bottom of metal frame. Brooch is very good condition. It looks like brooch was signed by Sandy. See photos for details. There is a letter which contains information on the battleship that comes with the brooch. This would make a fabulous addition to your collection. Payment is expected within 5 days of purchase.
