Below the initials are the Roman numerals XXVII. Rookwood pottery was made in Cincinnati, Ohio and in Mississippi from 1880-1960. The mark with the flames is easy to read. The backward RP was first used in 1886. Each year a flame was added. In 1900 there were 14 flames. A Roman numeral designating the year made was then added to the mark. This vase was made in 1927.11 1/4" - tall14 1/4" - wide1.5" - wide at top mouth
