ANTIQUE STEAMER TRUNK VINTAGE VICTORIAN DOME TOP WEDDING BRIDES CHEST ORIGINAL - $699 - (Hot Springs, AR)
This antique VICTORIAN Steamer Trunk with dome top lid has Patented 1870 engraved on several of the cast iron hardware on the front. It's completely original, inside and out, but in rare, very hard to find condition. This steamer is well built and made to last with heavy duty, ornate fittings and lock. Half of each upper compartment has come off but there's enough papering adhered to restore it properly. When the lid is up, there are two compartments for storage. On the bottom, there is a 4 part storage unit with 2 covered drawers on either side of a deep space for a hat perhaps, plus a long, narrow covered drawer runs the length of the trunk behind these. This unit is very sturdy and can be removed to access the large, deep bottom. Most of the paper covering is intact inside, please see photos for condition.
