1927 "Etna-izers" desk plaque heavy metal, not brass, not iron, non magnetic. Might be coated bronze or other non-magnetic heavy metal. Obviously, from October of 1927. History behind it is a bit interesting. The "Etna-izers" were a crew of salesmen that would work various areas selling their insurance door to door, in this case residential home insurance primarily, so far as I could find out. Not a lot out there about it. Nothing at all about this exact plaque. I do not know if it was a sales award or what. quite heavy for it's size, but it's not brass, nor steel or iron. Bronze perhaps, but I do not know for sure. Not perfect by any means, but pretty good shape for being nearly 89 years old. Double dog dare you to find another one like it. Contact me about shipping, it is a heavy item, so I suppose it will be a bit expensive if you're far away, but the calculator does go off the rails more often than not. No international shipping on this item.
