This was and open box item, the box is a bit tattered but contents appear new. I tested it and it performs as it was designed to, since I did that you 'may' have to call Summer Infant and have them reset the system for you. This will delete the wifi connection that I set up to test it and let you enter your own this is just for security reasons. I have done it and it took me less then 2 minutes they were very helpful.
