Up for sale is this 1st Year 1988 The Lucy Rigg & Company Limited Edition Bear 15". Lucy Rigg Signed on COA, Numbered Limited Edition #507 out of 3000. It is a medium sized bear and in excellent condition because it has been stored in the original box. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Even though the box is torn at the top in front, the bear was protected. Never played with. This lovable bear with the look of impishness which has made Lucy Rigg's work a favorite with collectors worldwide is now available in this, the first of a limited edition series. This unique bear, one of just 3,000, comes with its own whimsical hat and is intended to become a cherished heirloom. Measurements: 13" x 9" x 15" History:Lucy Rigg began making dough figures by hand in 1969 and went on to create paper goods both under her name as well as several others. After signing with Enesco in the late 70's they produced people and bunnies from her designs, but she is most known for her smiling teddy bears. Enesco has produced figurines, musicals, mugs, tins, pins, and lot of miscellaneous collectible items, designed by Lucy, for 21 years. She has had, and continues to have, many other licensees that produce items including teapots, balloons, bookmarks, scrap booking supplies, photo albums, magnets, dolls craft kits, bookends, baby items, throws, picture frames, and many other items.
