VINDEX 1930s Excelsior Motorcycle -- Rare cast iron antique toy POLICE COP - $1,799 - (Lenexa, KS)
One more round of fresh-to-ebay antique cast iron, tin and steel toys tonight before taking a couple months off from selling. This lot is for an EXCELSIOR SPEED COP MIKE motorcycle made by Vindex toys in Belvidere, IL. This is a pretty tough bike to find as vindex made mostly farm toys. This is the same scale / size as the larger hubley motoryccles measuring 8.5 inches in length and retaining approximately 80% of the orignal green paint. The black rubber tires are origianl to the toy. "MIKE the cop" is a cast iron replacement. An "excelsior" partial decal can be seen on the left side of the tank. This toy is coming from my personal collection. There are no breaks, cracks, repairs or repaint to the bike. Selling as a buy it now or best offer only.
