You are bidding on the book A Key, to Unlock the Door, That Leads in, to Take a Fair View of the Religious Constitution, Established by Law, in the Colony of Connecticut With by Ebenezer Frothingham, published in 1767. 8vo, 248 p., original calf binding. First and only edition of this rare work on religion in colonial Connecticut. This is a defective copy so please note the following: LACKS the final pages, (book stops at p 248, of what I believe were 252 pages. In addition, p 39/40, 143-6 are MISSING (torn out) and pages 161-6 are LACKING the lower 2" of text. This book is in very rough shape, however it is also an extremely rare work, with fewer than 20 copies in OCLC. Definitely worth fitting with facsimile replacement pages and having rebound. Being sold AS IS as a restoration project. Please email any questions and thanks for looking!
