Georg Jensen pre-war Sterling Brooch #173 Early GI Mark - $850 - (Lakewood, OH)

This prewar George Jensen brooch, #173, was made by Jensen himself and marked with the simple GI mark. This mark was only used for a few years and some books say the early 1930's. A Jensen rep on a swing through the states in the 1980's saw the piece and said it could be late 1920's and the piece is an iconic Jensen design. The pin is in overall excellent condition with no damage beyond light surface wear as shown and measures approximately 2-1/8th inches by 1-7/8ths inches. Thanks for looking.
