The Pardoner's Tale with hand colored Woodcuts by Bronislaw M. Bak, Chicago Studio Press, 1966. Rare #9 of only 35 editions of Bronislaw Bak's colored woodcuts on rice paper. 82 pages in all. Each one is hand signed by the artist. Very good condition with a few water spots, curling at the very edges of the paper, stretch marks from the printing process, slight yellowing from age - see photos for more details as they show these conditions. Oblong portfolio brown cloth case has rubbing to the edges and soiling to the front of the hard cloth cover. Each page measures approximately 14 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches high. Included with this collection is an article about Bak from the Chicago Tribune dated December 26, 1966 as well as the Midwest Magazine from the Chicago Sun Times dated March 5, 1967 with an extensive article & photos entitled "The Painting, Carving and Printing of a Chaucer Portfolio".
