RARE vintage ZENITH CHRONOMETER - SHIPS DECK WATCH - 8 DAY - POWER RESEVE - $749 - (Camp Hill, PA)

This is a rare vintage ZENITH CHRONOMETER – a precision 8-DAY ship’s clock or deck clock with Power Reserve  – originally in a wooden case, from which it has likely been long separated. The clock is in a heavy brass case measuring 74mm across the front. The dial is very sharp, large black numerals, 100% lettering and notations. The glass has some surface crazing around 9:00 – this is only noticeable if turned and examined - or caught in the photo – face on it isn’t evident. I have wound and run this clock numerous times – the jeweler said it needs a cleaning and adjustment. The watch will run Accurately for several days on a wind but no more – and the power reserve needle only goes down close to half-way.
