Iohan (Johan) Storch Bracket Clock Bayreuth Germany - $2,495 - (Blanchester, OH)

We are offering this very rare German Bracket Clock made by Iohan (Johan in English) Storch of Bayreuth, Germany. Everything on this clock was hand made from top to bottom, that dates to 1750. The movement has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and restored to running condition. The movement has a crown escapement, with quarter hour strike on one bell, once for 15min, 2 strikes for 30min, 3 strikes for 45min, and on the full hour it strikes 4 times on one bell and the full hour count on the other bell. The movement runs for about 28 hours and does keep go time for something this old. The clock measures 17 inches high and 11 inches wide. The case has 6 glass panels 4 on the sides and the front and back. Something I've never seen on a clock, but the back door sides out and is not hinged. Now for the things that are not perfect, there is wood worm damage, but they are long gone. There has been wood repaired over the years, I also see an extra hole in the back of the case. I'm not sure if the 4 finials are original the holes are larger, but it could be wear from the ages. With this all said, for a clock to be in running condition after 267 years is amazing! This clock will not be packed until its sold. Please wait for an invoice! Feel free to email me if you have any question or want more pictures. Also, check out our other auction items and thanks for looking! **********PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE**********
