PROFESSIONALLY REFOAMED - Realistic Mach 1 One, Speaker Pair 40-4029, 160w, 15" - $400 - (South Bend, IN)

I paid to have these speakers PROFESSIONALLY REFOAMED by a local store. The owner, who performed the work, has been in business for over 40 years. Needless to say, everything was tested to be in perfect working condition. These speakers sounded fantastic, with excellent low end. Additionally, to protect the speakers he used a product called "The Wet Look" to protect the paper cones on the 15" woofers. While it may not look the prettiest, it will protect the speakers for years to come. Cosmetically, the speakers are in low condition. There is heavy exterior wear, including scratches and scuffs. Additionally, there are several places where the veneer is peeling or missing. The tops of the speakers have discolorations to the wood from condensation. A couple of the corners are chipped, exposing the particle board underneath. The grills are in good condition but one of them has a couple of holes in the bottom right hand side. Some dirt to the grills and speakers. Overall, excellent pair of speakers in moderate cosmetic condition. This pair is definitely more for the sound enthusiast than the vintage collector.
