This was the natural form era of the 1870's, from 1877-1882. The bustle had diminished and the poufs in the skirts dropped behind the knees and tie-back skirts were all the rage. This skirt has a three gore front and fitted at the waist with darts. The back is tied behind the knees with a drawstring. It works well with over skirts, polonaise, long jackets, cuirass (long) bodices.
