Used 1958 Gibson LG-0 Acoustic Guitar All Mahogany w/Case - $1,200 - (La Porte, IN)

1958 Gibson LG-0!All MahoganyThis guitar is in good condition for its age. The frets have plenty of life left in them and the action is very nice. The neck is straight and the headstock has no breaks or cracks. There are minor scratches and dings throughout the guitar. There is a wear spot in the finish on the back of the neck at the 9th fret (does not affect playability). There is a minor crack at the upper bout around 1.25" from the bass side of the fingerboard. The crack does not go all the way through the top wood. The body top behind the bridge bubbled up some. Our luthier addressed this and re-glued the bridge in place. You can tell the top is bubbled a little, but it does not affect the string action much at all. The action is still low and comfortable.This LG-0 sounds surprisingly warm, deep, and full for its size and bracing style. This would make a great blues guitar or something for fingerpicking that would add a different tonal palette.
