You get a little less bass, a strong mid-range, and bright high-end which helps every note stand out in an arrangement. The VL series, “Vintage Lyrachord”, brings the tone of Ovations historical light weight bodies of the 60’s and 70’s back to the modern day player. With a thinner neck and a contemporary version of the classic stereo FET preamp, this acoustic series offers today’s player the vintage ovation sound that put the legendary brand on the map.
