Persian Hand-knotted Runner - Wool, Rare ocean vintage terracotta/blue 3' x 16' - $1,800 - (Dublin, OH)

This rug was handmade exclusively for me in India. I bought it while in India and had it shipped here. I have moved and it's no longer the right length for my hallway. The rug is extremely fine quality and hand-knotted with 256 knots per square inch. The pile is about 3/8" and the design is intricate and exquisite. The background color is a light rich cream and the field is made of light ocean blue, dusty sage green, light sable and black. The design has an alternating chevron and floral motif with botanical objects, leaves and acanthus. The rug and fringe are in like-new condition and the runner has just been professionally cleaned. This rug must be used with a proper high-quality rug pad to preserve its beauty for centuries to come. The sign of a really fine rug is when you can't tell the difference between the front and the back - -the design is just as beautiful from the front as it is from the back. This rug is really exquisite.
