TAMA 6.5X14 ARTSTAR 2 acrylic CLEAR snare drum mirage/freedom lugs MIJ rare! - $649 - (Bellingham, WA)
A very rare, Artstar 2 era, uncataloged (as far as I can tell) made in, and for Japan only. It features steel mighty hoops, freedom lugs and extended snare wires. The drum is all original, and factory aside from new heads, top and bottom, and nylon washers added to the original thick steel washers on the tension rods. The hardware is all original, straight, functions smoothly and the chrome is in great shape! and shines in the light! The clear acrylic shell itself is in great condition as well, with clean, original edges. I usually opt for remo heads, but the clear (not hazy) snare side heads looks much better on this crystal clear beauty. I also thought the evans clear 300 snare side head would add a little crispness to go with the deep tone and fairly dry acrylic shell. I topped it off with a clear G2 to stick with the clear motif!
