Antique Refinished Camel Back Trunk w/Tray Compartments Lock and Working Key Red - $349 - (O'fallon, IL)

For sale: a beautifully restored/refinished antique camel back steamer trunk. It was cleaned and stripped inside and out. It was sanded, finished, and painted with rustoleum paints. The primary color is a metallic fleck red. A chestnut stain and polyurethane was applied to the slats. The hardware was painted with antique brass. We installed new leather handles and a lid lifter. We replaced the lid stay with a new replica of the original one. We preserved the lid compartment, and refinished the tray. The tray was restored with artist board and copies of original lithographs and trim. This trunk features a beautiful working lock and key. Being well over 100 years old, the trunk has some imperfections. Most notably, the latches are bent and can be difficult to close. The trunk weighs 52 pounds and measures 32"X21"X16.5."
