1946 Cockshutt Plow Company Book Farming In Canada - $80 - (Markle, IN)
1946 Book Published by Cockshutt Plow Company, Brantford, Ontario "Farming In Canada" by Duncan Marshall. The book measures 5 1/4 x 7 1/4, is hardbound, has 227 pages, and states on the title page "For the purpose of assisting returned veterans from World War II in their settlement on the land". All aspects of farming is covered from selecting a farm to soils, plant nourishment, climate, live stock, grain and specialty crop growing, farming with horses. Probably 50 photos with about 15 being Cockshutt equipment. This is hard to find book (look at sold items on ebay and their are none!). As a hobbiest buyer and seller of farm collectibles over 20 years I have only had 5 or 6 copies in paperback with the same 1946 publication date but this this is the first I have ever seen in hardback. This is a former library book in Very Good + Condition with little or no wear and no damage. See the other farm advertising and related items that I have listed.
