Singer 411G Heavy Duty Sewing Machine with MANY accessories This Singer 411G was the Mercedes of the Singer sewing machine designs. It is solid metal from a time when quality was a priority. It uses all metal gears and has a gear driven motor (no belts). It easily sews through thicker materials like denim, soft leather (not saddle type leather), webbing, upholstery, etc. This is one of the most sought after machines because of its high stitch quality and versatility. They are not easy to find as they were costly to manufacture in 1964-1965 so only small quantities were made. They were built in Germany to sell world-wide. Some machines had the electrical parts added in St-Jean Singer Factory in Quebec, Canada so they could be sold in North America. This machine has the ability to be used on a treadle (no electricity, no problem?). It has adjustable presser foot pressure (wonderful for sewing different types of material-light to heavy). There are a bunch of built in stitches, and adjustable stitch length from 6 to 30 stitches per inch. Top mounted bobbin winder that makes lovely bobbins. The satin stitches are amazing. I have stitched some out in the pictures and will include the samples.
