Description: One (1) Vintage Asian Round Lidded Metal Box. Features two dragons on lid with scenes of flying cranes around edge - all in relief. The box is made of two metals - we believe the exteriors of box and lid are bronze as they feel heavier than brass (weighs over a pound). The interiors of lid and box are lined in a softer, white metal (both are non-magnetic). Based on size and shape we believe this was used to hold an ink stone. Underside is stamped with a symbol inside of a diamond shape. Origin unknown - style and subject matter of designs appear to be Chinese. Exact age unknown - has age related wear and patina throughout. Condition: Good Vintage Condition (See All Photos) Age related surface wear throughout - one ding to base side (not easily noticeable). Dings and scratches to interior from age and use. Slight bends to shape appear from age and or manufacture - possibly handmade. All wear is typical for this type of item. Lid fits without issues. Sits perfectly flat - no wobbles. No major dents. No punctures. No odors. Has not been cleaned or polished. Various spots of patina has formed - this looks old!
