The brooch is amazing and very detailed and so very collectable. The company is no longer in business. The makers were known for the quality and the innovative practices ingenuity. Unless the jewelry has been listed as 10k, 14k, 18k 24k, 925, etc....it is gold tone or silver tone. This means it is more than likely fashion jewely or costume jewelry.
