Jardiniere in SPINNING BOWL Form Stanislav Libensky Cased Aqua CZECH Glass Spinning Bowl by Stanislav Libensky Large heavy opalescent, cased aqua glass. The jardinière was meant to grow root building plants, it could be turned around on the table or window sill. Designed in 1973 and made in 1974. Signed S. Libensky 74 on side Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 6 1/2" X 7 1/2" Stanislav Libenský is considered as the most outstanding Czech glasswork artist and pedagogist. His works created in collaboration with Jaroslava Brychtová are presented in museums and galleries all over the world. Besides his work, he was teaching at Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and he was a director and pedagogist the School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod where he lived and worked for the majority of of his life.
