Believed First Edition 1860 Cherokee New Testament - Nice condition Native - $829 - (Oklahoma City, OK)

This is an original 1860 Testament published in the Cherokee Syllabary. It was published in 1860 by the American Bible Society. This is NOT a reprint, fascimile or print-on-demand book, it is an original item. I have posted multiple photographs of the Testament so a potential buyer can judge the condition for themselves. The covers show reasonable wear commensurate with it's age. The bottom and top of the spine as well as the corners of the covers are bumped. The binding and pages are tight and clean. On the inside of the front cover a price? tag has been removed that lifted the face of the paper when it was removed. There is the name of a previous owner written in pencil on the title page. Otherwise the pages are tight and clean with a hint of tanning. The Testament has been in our family for at least forty years and has been stored in a dry, smoke-free environment during that time. I will be glad to provide additional information and photographs that are requested with adequate time before the end of the auction. This is not a fishing expedition I want to sell the Testament so bid or offer to own it.
