Margay Panther X Vintage racing Go Kart. complete, very nice! - $1,995 - (Annandale, MN)

See shipping details at bottom of text, First year Panther X serial number 1020. Early enough to have aluminum fuel tank but late enough to have dual lower steering support. Kart is in very good condition and retains all correct Margay components including Appco sprocket hub, Margay 150 axle, Margay stamped bearing flangettes, tie rod ends, wheels, spindles, etc., including a correct Margay PL fiberglass seat, however, the seat needs fiberglass repair. This kart also has the original Margay serial number tag and the number matches the number stamped into the frame plate behind the seat. The kart has been repainted during it's life with a color close to the original GM Marina Blue. The kart has also had the correct original Airheart brakes rebuilt to use mineral oil brake fluid and is equipped with hard linings. The engine on this kart is a McCulloch MC 91mc. The engine was disassembled, cleaned and repainted. The piston to bore clearance was verified to be within spec. and was then reassembled with new rings, seals, gaskets, points and spark plug. The timing was set and the engine was pressure tested OK. the engine is fitted with a new MaxTorque clutch. THE TIRES ARE KHL SL 6.0, 11.0-5., Has spare plastic fuel tank. This kart is ready for vintage kart racing as is and would require very little restoration work to make it show worthy. THIS IS REALLY A FINE AND ORIGINAL EXAMPLE OF A VINTAGE RACING KART.
