He spent most of his working life in FRANCE; both in PARIS and the SOUTH of FRANCE by the MEDITERRANEAN SEA. Pablo Picasso's many works hang in the finest museums and private collections all over the world. THE INK DRAWINGThis excellent early study of a young FEMALE HEAD in profile is drawn by hand in BLACK INK. The striking CUBIST original work is from Picasso's mid-period of the 1930s, in this case, 1932. NOTE: our first two photos were shot through the glass of the frame. The photos that follow are clearer and more accurate as they were shot with the drawing out of frame. HAND-DRAWN onto a beige paper inner-lining sheet to an ancient sketchbook hard-cover. (See our last photo). This is ONE of TWO Cubist ink portrait-sketches we have, each drawn onto the old book's inner-paper-lining; one on the inside of the front cover, one on the inside of the back cover. This offering is for the ONE framed drawing on the back of the cardboard book-cover. The OTHER one is also listed on eBay, as a SEPARATE ITEM in our SALE. This is most definitely an original vintage ink drawing by hand and NOT a litho, print or copy of any kind. The actual old book-cover size measures: 7" x 4 3/8" (18 cm x 11 cm). The picture is mounted as a "float" inside a clean, beveled window matte. The beautiful silver-wood frame measures: 15" x 12" (38 cm x 30 1/2 cm).
