HTF Western Stoneware Pottery Old Sleepy Eye Brown Pair Of Steins 1950's Indian - $1,000 - (New York, NY)
I just got these gems from a New Jersey estate. As noted in the history section of the western stoneware pottery website, they produced these in all brown during the 1950's in a very limited run. The molds are very detailed with a great glaze. Raised maple leaf W mark on the bottom as fashioned from Monmouth pottery maple leaf owned by Western Stoneware. I am looking to sell the pair to the right collector. The taller one is 7 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" across opening and 4 1/2" across base. I believe it holds 40 ounces. The other one is 5 3/8" tall, 3 1/4" across opening and 4 1/4" across base. I believe it holds 22 oz. they are heavy. The last time I saw the large one for auction in 2012, it had a pre-sale estimate of $2500-$3500 but sold for over less the low estimate. Selling both in excellent condition together. Great color and detail. I ship glass and porcelain safely worldwide since 2001. I include insurance for you at no cost.
