This is a vintage Ironrite health chair. It is in good condition for it's age. There is paint loss and scuffs and scratche son wood and metal leg,s but works well. I have not attempted to clean this as not to damage the finish. This chair will come as seen in photos. Complete NOT disassembled. Found this information on the internet: The original Ironrite Health Chairs manufactured between 1938 and 1940. It was designed by Herman Sperlich to accompany a then-state-of-the-art ironing machine. The chair is accredited with the birth of ergonomic design, so much so that the Museum of Modern Art in New York has one in its permanent collection. Today, this comfortable chair with adjustable back would be perfect with a vintage warm-wood or industrial desk or as an accent chair. Note: This chair is one of the originals manufactured 1938-1940 with wood seat and back. After 1940, they were manufactured with metal seats and backs.
