Hopi Manuel Hoyungwa 3 Vintage Sterling Signed & Numbered Kachina Bolo Ties - $770 - (Truth Or Consequences, NM)
This is a very fine set of 3 vintage Hopi sterling silver Kachina bolo ties. Each is marked with "#21 of 97" along with the hogans on a plateau mark for Manuel Hoyungwa. Although there is no mark for silver content, they are sterling silver. Manuel Hoyungwa has been active since the 1970's. He was a student of his uncle Preston Monongye. He is the father of Todd and Troy Hoyungwa. He collaborates with his wife Karen Hoyungwa and is a multiple award winner. The large Kachina weighs 86.8 grams and measures 6 1/4" x 4 1/8", medium sized is 79.3 grams and measures 5" x 3 1/2", smallest is 60.7 grams and measures 4 3/4" x 2 1/4". They are truly incredible and easily slide onto the braided black leather. They are in very good condition with tarnish present.
